NIS Farmer-to-Farmer II

This program supported the development of private farming and agribusiness systems in the NIS by providing technical assistance from U.S. cooperative specialists. The program focused on strengthening member-owned and -controlled service enterprises and improving post-harvest handling and storage techniques. It also sought to improve food processing, distribution, and marketing activities.

Program beneficiaries included private farms, agribusinesses, collective farmer cooperatives, and farmers’ associations. The program utilized some 1,000 volunteers over its six years of implementation.
