Zenebech Mesfin serves as an associate director who provides gender and social inclusion technical support to ACDI/VOCA programs and proposals and brings a background in natural resource management (NRM), the environment, and climate. She is passionate about gender equality, female empowerment, and social inclusion and has worked at the intersection of these issues in the contexts of agriculture, NRM, and the environment. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2023, Zenebech served as the gender and social inclusion lead for a NRM mechanism. Prior to that, she worked on an agriculture, land, and NRM mechanism that implemented activities related to land documentation, natural resource governance, and engaging the private sector for women’s economic empowerment across five countries. Zenebech holds a BS from American University and a master’s degree in global development from Cornell University. She is fluent in English and Amharic.
