Valentina is a senior technical director of Partnerships & Investments at AV Ventures, a for-profit subsidiary of ACDI/VOCA. She supports AV Ventures’ impact investing vehicles in Ghana, Central Asia, and Central America. Before joining ACDI/VOCA in 2020, Valentina worked at AlphaMundi Group, where she built up and managed AlphaMundi’s impact investing portfolio in Latin America and helped launched its operations in her native country of Colombia. Valentina brings extensive experience in development finance, including six years spent at the Inter-American Development Bank structuring, negotiating, and closing more than $100 million in financing for small- and medium-size enterprises and financial institutions throughout Latin America. Valentina holds a MS in international development from the London School of Economics, a graduate certificate in corporate finance from Georgetown University, and a BS in economics from ICESI University. She is fluent in Spanish and English and has advanced knowledge of French.
