Nephas Munyeche is the chief of party of the Feed the Future Mozambique Integrated Resilience in Nutrition and Agriculture Activity. He leads the delivery of interventions designed to increase the resilience of rural smallholder farmers in the local food system of the Nampula and Zambezia provinces. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2022, Nephas led various global development initiatives in Zimbabwe, including the Zimbabwe Protracted Relief Programme, the Rural Agriculture Revitalisation Programme, and the Livelihoods and Food Security Programme. He also led several programs in Mozambique, including the Innovation for Agribusiness project, and the Renewable Energy for Rural Development project. Nephas also led Sierra Leone Opportunities for Business Action and helped establish the Tumutu Youth Vocational Training Centre in Liberia. He holds bachelor’s degrees in both English and sociology from the University of Zimbabwe as well as a master’s degree in international rural development from the Royal Agricultural University (United Kingdom) and a PhD in agribusiness from Coventry University (United Kingdom). Nephas is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Shona.
