Nadia Namken is a senior technical director at ACDI/VOCA, where she manages three projects in Ethiopia and Nigeria, providing short-term technical assistance to projects in the area of access to finance, and supporting new business efforts. Nadia also serves on supervisory boards of four ACDI/VOCA-affiliated financial institutions and chairs one of them. Since joining ACDI/VOCA in 2000, Nadia has served in several roles, including chief of party of a project for which she received an award from USAID for her contribution to developing microfinance in Iraq. Previously, she worked as the regional representative of the National Union of Farmer Cooperatives in Odessa, Ukraine. She also worked for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Russia and Ukraine. Nadia holds a BS in marine architecture from Marine Technical University (Russia) and an MBA from Jones International University. She was a fellow with USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service’s Cochran Fellowship Program.
