Joe Sanders is the chief of party of the Feed the Future Kenya Livestock Market Systems Activity, bringing more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale overseas development programs in economic development, agriculture, food security, water and sanitation, alternative development, and productive infrastructure. Before joining ACDI/VOCA in May 2020, Joe served as the chief of party of the USAID Kenya Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project, which improved access to water and sanitation services for more than a million people. Prior to this, Joe led and oversaw a Feed the Future agricultural program in Zimbabwe and a rural development program in Nepal and an irrigation and infrastructure program in Afghanistan. He also directed two USAID-funded programs in Bolivia focused on licit crop production and infrastructure. Joe holds a BS in biology from Catholic University and an MS in managing rural development from the University of London.
