George C. Dalire is the deputy chief of party of the Philippine Coffee Advancement and Farm Enterprise Project, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). He has more than three decades of experience working with ACDI/VOCA. After first joining in 1990, George supported more than 100 Farmer-to-Farmer Program volunteer assignments in the Philippines. He later led several programs, including ACDI/VOCA’s first community health project. George served as ACDI/VOCA’s new business advisor for the Philippines, Burma, Thailand, Nepal, and Indonesia and most recently as the deputy chief of party of the USDA-funded Mindanao Productivity in Agricultural Commerce and Trade Project. He holds a BS in commerce from Ateneo de Davao University and a BS in business administration from De La Salle University, where he was a Sasakawa Peace Foundation scholar. George is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Cebuano. He has won awards from the city of Davao and SAPIKAPI for youth leadership and from ACDI/VOCA for advancing gender equity in 2013, entrepreneurship in 2005, and generating new business in 2004.
