Cristobal Aguilar provides technical and strategic support to field offices as senior director of agriculture and community development and serves as project director of the USAID Transforming Market Systems Activity in Honduras. Before coming to headquarters, Cristobal was deputy chief of party and chief of party of ACDI/VOCA projects in Bolivia and Mozambique. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2005, he worked in agricultural development supporting projects funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. He holds a BS in agronomic engineering from Zamorano University (Honduras), an MS in rural development from the University of Göttingen (Germany), and an MS in agricultural economics from Michigan State University. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English and has a working knowledge of German.
