Anar Khalil is a senior director who leads ACDI/VOCA’s subawards department in aligning processes, systems, and departments across the organization engaged in subaward management. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2023, Anar served as head of the project management unit and Chief of Staff at WorldFish, an international research institution focused on aquatic food systems. Previously, he served at USAID Missions in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia, providing project management oversight to projects focused on food security, private sector engagement, and agricultural development. He holds a BS in economics and an MBA from the University of Warwick’s Warwick Business School (England). Anar is fluent in English, Azerbaijani (native), Russian, and Turkish. He received the Superior and Distinguished Honor Awards from the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka for his contribution to the development of a USAID/Bangladesh Feed the Future initiative and for increasing the effectiveness of the U.S. government’s food security investments in Bangladesh.
