Aijamal Ypyshova is an agribusiness partnerships lead for the USAID Kyrgyz Republic Agro Trade Activity, a five-year activity implemented by Chemonics International and subcontracted by ACDI/VOCA. In this role, Aijamal coordinates activities related to improving agricultural productivity, value chains, and end-markets. She previously served as deputy agricultural productivity director of the ACDI/VOCA-implemented USAID Agro Horizon Project in the Kyrgyz Republic. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2014, Aijamal served various global development programs, including one focused on conflict mitigation through school self-governance in which she liaised with government officials, education departments, and other partners. Aijamal holds a BA in English, specializing in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), from Osh State University (Kyrgyz Republic) and an MA in English and TESL from the Central Institute of Foreign Languages (India). She is fluent in Russian, Kyrgyz, and English.
