Mark Sevier provides technical direction to projects and new business opportunities, particularly focusing on engaging with private sector business to strengthen market systems. Mark worked for ACDI/VOCA from 2010 to 2012 and its affiliate Tanager from 2012 to 2014. Prior to rejoining ACDI/VOCA in 2020, Mark codesigned and managed an investment fund focused on scaling agriculture technologies and last-mile service delivery across 60 agribusinesses. He has worked in 10 countries in private sector engagement, investment, and economic growth. Mark is a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Uganda, where he supported a local organization’s microfinance activities. He holds a BS in business administration from Ithaca College and is fluent in Luganda and English. Mark holds a certificate from the Springfield Centre and co-led the Sustainable Agribusiness Working Group at the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs.
