Bo Banks is a director of business development at ACDI/VOCA, where he develops a pipeline of new business opportunities, devises capture plans, leads partnering and teaming decisions, and prepares our teams for competitive bids. Before joining ACDI/VOCA in 2019, Bo worked as the business development manager at Sheladia Associates and has prior consulting experience in small- and medium-sized enterprise development and economic growth in West Africa. He started two businesses in The Gambia and cofounded MBK Farms, the country’s largest commercial poultry farm. Bo holds a BA in global studies from the University of Minnesota and an MA in international development with a focus poverty, conflict, and reconstruction from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom).
