Paul Newall is senior technical director of Partnerships & Investments at ACDI/VOCA. In this role, he designs and leads efforts to catalyze investment in the developing world by supporting project proposals and interventions focused on improving access to finance, including a focus on digital financial services. Paul has more than six years of experience designing innovative financial solutions with partners throughout the financial system, including central banks, financial institutions, mobile network operators, and fintechs. Paul holds a BA in international relations from Michigan State University and an MA in Middle East and Mediterranean studies from King’s College London. He earned certificates from the University of Oxford Saïd Business School’s Fintech Programme and IDEO’s Course for Human-Centered Design.
