Andrew (Andy) Gilbert has a considerable background in agriculture and cooperative governance. He served on the Board of Directors of CoBank until December 2019. He has served for over 25 years on cooperative boards including Agway, Telmark, Farm Credit East, and Farm Credit Council. He serves currently on the St. Lawrence County Development Study Advisory Board. He is also an on-farm financial consultant for Cornell University through the NY Farm Net Program. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Cornell University and has completed the Farm Credit Premiere Governance Series. Andy is a former owner and operator of Adon Farms Operations, LLC, a 1,250-cow dairy operation that also grows corn, and of Adon Farms Real Estate Holdings, LLC, both located in Potsdam, New York. He is a member and former board chair of Farm Credit East, ACA and is a former director of the Farm Credit Council.
