Diana Shipman is the director of our Global Volunteer Programs, for which she provides leadership on volunteer recruitment and mobilization, while also supporting business development. Diana provides guidance to Home Office staff, Project Office staff, and volunteers on assignment implementation. She seeks new opportunities to expand networks among universities and associations in the United States and internationally. Diana launched her career as a community development volunteer in El Salvador in the Peace Corps. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2006, she served as a recruiter and program coordinator in the private sector working on fulfilling government contracts. Diana holds an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the European University Center for Peace Studies (Austria) and a BA in Spanish with a minor in Political Science from Arizona State University. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
