Ana Maria is the Director of Reconciliation and leads Component 3 for ACDI/VOCA in the framework of the Restoring Our Future Activity, funded by USAID and led by main contractor, the International Organization for Migration. Component 3 seeks to strengthen capacities to move toward reconciliation, non-repetition, and a culture of peace in Colombia. Ana Maria has more than 15 years of experience working with public and international organizations. She is an expert in psychosocial interventions and the design and management of social development projects that empower adolescents and young people, ethnic peoples, and survivors of the Colombian armed conflict. Ana Maria has worked with ACDI/VOCA since 2019, both as a special projects manager and a manager of partnerships and protective environments under the USAID-funded Partnerships for Reconciliation Program and the USAID-funded Youth Resilience Activity. She is a licensed psychologist from the Bolivarian University of Medellín (Colombia) and holds a master’s degree in education and social development from the National Pedagogical University (Colombia). She also studied psychosocial interventions at Luis Amigó Catholic University (Colombia).
