Julie Hamlin is a senior director who supports the communications efforts of donor-funded programs implemented by ACDI/VOCA. Prior to taking on this role in 2023, Julie served as a communications advisor for ACDI/VOCA for eight years, consulting on several USAID-funded market systems development programs. She has more than 30 years of experience in the global development industry, including 15 years living in Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan supporting USAID-funded programs. Julie holds a master’s degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and an undergraduate degree in international business from Saint Mary’s College. She holds certificates in graphic design, community development, and non-profit marketing.
