Gelsey Bennett is a senior director who provides operational and technical oversight to projects around the world and supports new business development. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2022, Gelsey led the implementation of a global Feed the Future activity focused on agricultural extension, during which she catalyzed a buy-in from the USAID Mission in Guinea to form an agricultural extension country forum in Guinea. With more than 15 years of experience, she has managed complex international development programs focused on agriculture, digital extension, rural development, climate change, and natural resource management. Her experience spans working with various donors, including the US government, the US Department of Agriculture, and private foundations. Gelsey also managed three USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer Program awards. She holds a BA in international studies from Rhodes College and an MA in international development studies from George Washington University. Gelsey is fluent in English and Spanish and holds a certification in Project Management for Development Professionals.
