This sourcebook supported AflaSTOP’s activities to identify and design a viable drying technology for smallholder farmers. It was the first step in AflaSTOP’s drying technology design efforts. This document gave us the ability to identify promising designs and quickly compare and contrast differing elements and approaches. Each description gives an overview of the operating parameters, resource requirements, and positive and negative aspects of adoption that can support sustainable transfer to the commercial sector and scale-up of the technology.
