WASHINGTON, D.C., July 28, 2016 — Global development nonprofit ACDI/VOCA names Kevin
Haggerty its new CFO. Haggerty began his 30-year career with what is now Ernst & Young while in graduate school in Accounting at Georgetown University. Next, he was a founding partner at independent accounting firm Johnson, Lambert and Haggerty. Later, Haggerty spent ten years with the Computer Services Corporation.
In 2006, he applied his financial know-how to the global development sector upon joining DAI as its CFO. During his tenure at DAI, Haggerty led an Oracle ERP implementation that provided managers project-level financial information. He was named Washington Business Journal CFO of the Year in 2009. Most recently, he was CFO at the Institute for International Education in New York, which manages exchange programs such as the Fulbright. ACDI/VOCA welcomes his extensive knowledge of financial systems and accounting as well as his executive leadership, teambuilding, and management expertise.
“Kevin Haggerty has stepped in and embraced the CFO position. With his financial background and experience he’s a good professional fit. As a bonus, his personality makes him a good personal fit with our senior management team.”
— Paul Guenette, Acting President & CEO
