Summer Internship Program
Why was the program created?
Since 1963 ACDI/VOCA has worked to empower communities around the world through economic development. To help ensure ACDI/VOCA’s continued work overseas we understand the importance of investing in the professional and academic development of students in international studies. ACDI/VOCA’s internship program gives graduate students enrolled in master’s degree programs the opportunity to expand their professional knowledge and experience in international development through our summer internship program located at our headquarters in Washington, D.C.
What will I learn from this opportunity?
You will gain professional experience in the field of international development working on programs that focus on agribusiness systems, enterprise development, financial services, community development and food security.
What are the work responsibilities and expectations?

You will learn firsthand how headquarters and field staff work together to support development projects. You may also participate in proposal development by researching technical and budget information and helping to conceive new projects.
